When Hormones Shift

Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and thyroid hormones affect how you sleep, think, feel and recover. When they fall out of balance—after a baby, with stress, or as you approach perimenopause—you feel it, even when a standard checkup says everything is “normal.”

At EVO, women’s hormone health means listening first, testing when it helps, and building a plan just for you. If you’re in your 40s or beyond, see our perimenopause and menopause care.

Signs It May Be Time

Hormone care may be worth exploring if you’re noticing:

  • Fatigue or low energy that rest doesn’t fix.
  • Trouble sleeping or waking up unrested.
  • Mood swings, anxiety or irritability that feel new.
  • Low libido or changes in intimacy.
  • Weight gain that won’t respond to your usual habits.
  • Brain fog or trouble focusing.

We do not provide hormone therapy to anyone who is pregnant.

Women’s Hormone FAQ

What does women’s hormone therapy treat?

Hormone therapy can help when shifting hormones are behind symptoms like fatigue, poor sleep, mood changes, low libido, weight gain or brain fog. Your provider looks at your symptoms, history and labs to decide whether hormones are part of the answer.

Which hormones do you prescribe?

We prescribe estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid and DHEA, and they may be compounded so your dose is tailored to you. Your provider recommends only what fits your needs.

How are hormones taken?

All the common options are available, including pellets, injections, creams, troches and oral medication. You and your provider choose the best route together, based on the hormone and your preferences.

Do I need labs first?

Labs are not required, but we highly recommend them. They give you and your provider a true starting point, so your plan is built on real numbers and changes can be tracked over time. Labs can be drawn in our office or at a lab near you.

How often are follow-ups?

At least every 30 days, but think of it as concierge medicine: you can message your care team with questions at any time, not just at your scheduled check-ins.

Can I do this by telehealth?

Yes. Every appointment can be done by telehealth anywhere in Florida. You are always welcome to come into our South Tampa office instead.

Who provides my care?

Care is provided by our licensed medical providers and medically supervised by a board-certified physician.

Is hormone therapy safe during pregnancy?

We do not provide hormone therapy to anyone who is pregnant. If you are pregnant or planning to be, let us know and we can talk about other ways to support you.

Will I get specific results?

Every body is different, so we never promise specific outcomes. What we can promise is a plan built around you, regular check-ins, and a team that adjusts your care with you as you go.

Do you take insurance?

Our services are self-pay, and you can use your HSA or FSA card. Payment plans and EVO Bucks memberships, where members save 5–20%, are also available.

How do I get started?

Book a free consultation online, or call or text 813-425-5005. You can start in our South Tampa office or by telehealth.
